Birkenhead Lake = Magnificent Camping Locale

If you ever have a chance to camp at Birkenhead Lake, do it! It was my (Mark's) first time camping in Beautiful British Columbia, and boy what an amazing experience it was! The weather was gorgeous, and many camping activities ensued. We were in Bear Country, but didn't have any run-ins with any bears. That's a good thing, but we were strapped with some bear spray just in case. Here are some photos that don't do the site and experience any justice at all.

8 was the number of our campsite. A lovely campsite, nestled back in the woods.

Big tent, little tent (and some sporting equipment).

Campfire pit with janky chairs and the one and only Lounge Lizard.

Mark and Meg in Bear Country!

The crew.

This is Birkenhead Lake. We walked from our campsite, through the woods, and were blown away by our first view of the lake. Again, photos just don't do it justice.

Lounge Lizard time!

Chris and Jen made the most badboy bacon and green onion skewers. We ate real well on the trip.

Eating well.

Eating well, drinking well (we drank well as well).

Bacon and green onion skewers going apeshit on the grill. That's Masta Grilla Chris Allen at the grill.

Bacon juice really gets the party started.

An evening photo of Birkenhead Lake.

We did some fishing, but didn't catch anything. One day I will catch a Brown Trout...not sure if I will eat it though.

That's Meg fishing for Brown Trout.
